Being involved in an auto accident caused by a drunk driver can not only be frightening, but incredibly dangerous to all involved as well. Often, such accidents occur with little to no warning and leave victims with no chance to respond or prevent the accident. - Speed and Braking Problems – Driver stops abruptly, too far short of limit line, beyond limit line, or rapidly and inappropriately accelerates or decelerates.
- Driving on an Undesignated Roadway – Vehicle drives on edge of roadway, on the shoulder, through the turn-only lane, or off the road completely.
- Illegal Turning – Driver may turn too fast, making sudden corrections during the turn or from a non-turning lane.
- Driving into Opposing Traffic – Vehicle heads into opposing or crossing traffic.
- Impaired Appearance of Driver – The driver may by slouching, staring straight ahead with fixed eyes, have his or her face close to the windshield, and/or gripping the wheel tightly.
