Four Hospitalized in I-5 San Diego Truck Crash
Four people suffered injuries in a serious truck wreck that occurred on November 12,
2011, around 1:19 p.m. near the 5100 block of Santa Fe Street in Clairemont on I-5. According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Steven Toth, the truck went out of control, crashed into a nearby fence, and came to rest on Santa Fe Street.
All four injured victims, one with major injuries and three with minor injuries, were immediately transported to Scripps La Jolla Hospital to receive treatment.
From the available information, it is unclear what led to this serious truck wreck. If the loss of control was due to bad condition of roads, then the government agency responsible for maintaining roads may be financially responsible for the accident and the damages. However, if it was due to the driver’s negligence, then the passengers can file a personal injury lawsuit against the driver.
Meanwhile, the injured victims’ family members should immediately seek counsel from an experienced San Diego County truck accident lawyer who would educate them about their legal rights. This lawyer may also help victims obtain compensation for the losses occurred in this crash.
