Two Dead In Pomona Truck Accident

Two people standing outside their cars after a freeway collision were struck and killed by a big-rig on May 16, 2011, around 3:14 a.m. on Highway 60 in Pomona just west of the San Bernardino County. According to CHP Sgt. Keith Phillips, three vehicles were involved in the crash and a Mustang anda Lexus were left disables on the shoulder.

Phillips told reporters that two drivers were standing outside their cars when a big-rig veered onto the shoulder of the pathway and struck them. The impact of the collision was so strong that one of the victims was thrown over the side of Garey Avenue.

Responding paramedics pronounced both the victims dead at the accident scene. From the available information, it is quite evident that negligent driving and irresponsible actions of the big-rig driver lead to this fatal truck accident that took two lives. It is possible that he was speeding and that he did not break in time to avoid the collision. It is also possible that he was distracted and did not notice the parked vehicles.

The victims’ family members are advised to immediately seek consultation from an experienced truck accident lawyer serving San Bernardino County to obtain compensation to cover for funeral and burial costs, loss of anticipated income, loss of love and companionship and other accident related damages.
