Davis Man Dies In Yolo County Car Accident

A 56-year-old Davis man was killed in a Yolo County auto accident when his pickup crashed into a phone pole on Thursday, May 12 around 12:05 a.m. According to the responding California Highway Patrol Officers, the driver, identified as Steve Settje, swerved or drifted to the right for some unknown reason on County Road 29 just north of Davis.

Though the speed is unknown, officers reported that Settje was not wearing a seatbelt. The family members of this deceased victim as well as the injured victims here would be well-advised to consult with an experienced Yolo County personal injury lawyer to determine the cause of the accident, whether it was a mechanical failure of the vehicle, bad road condition or any other reason that would cause the driver to lose control. An attorney can work to obtain compensation for accident-related expenses. Death of a family member is a tragic loss but an auto accident attorney can lessen the grief by assuring that the at-fault party is brought to justice

Our law office offers sincere condolences to all those who knew and loved the victim.
