National City Multiple Vehicle Car Accident Kills San Diego Pedestrian

The autopsy of a 27-year old San Diego woman who was struck by multiple vehicles while standing on Interstate 805 in National City is scheduled for today. This very tragic auto accident took place around 12:30 a.m. on Northbound I-805 on February 7, 2010.

The victim, whose name has been withheld pending family notification, is believed to have gotten out of her SUV when she was struck by multiple vehicles, one after the other, on this very busy freeway. She died on the spot. Her car was found on the shoulder of the highway. No immediate reason could be found out regarding why she was standing in the middle of the traffic lane.

Our office wishes to convey our sincere prayers and condolences to the family and friends of the victim. To lose someone in such a brutal way is very tragic. It goes without saying how crucial it is to be careful while attempting to cross the road on a busy route, especially at night. One can never be too careful, so do all that you can to prevent yourself and your loved ones from such tragedy.
