Winter Storms Bring Rain and Car Accidents to San Diego
A series of winter storms have created a series of traffic wrecks and car accidents in San Diego County during the last week. The winter storms, part of a series of strong El Nino storms from the Pacific, have brought strong winds and heavy rain to the area after a long dry period. When that happens, oils and debris on the roads rise up and make Southern California freeways slick and slippery.
Rain is a primary cause for San Diego traffic accidents during the Winter. The sad fact of the matter is that most of these collisions could be avoided by simply driving slower and leaving more space between vehicles while driving.
