San Diego Man Killed in Car Accident in North Dakota
A San Diego native was killed last week in North Dakota in an auto accident that occurred between his car and a semi-trailer on the road.
According to authorities, 45-year old Ray Gibbons, Jr. of San Diego was on the road when a motor vehicle crossed a center line while driving south on North Dakota's state highway 3 around 9:30 a.m. last Thursday. The state Highway Patrol of the northern United States reported that the northbound tractor-trailor truck braked and turned right before striking the car head-on. Gibbons was pronounced dead at the scene about 10 miles north of the city of Harvey. The semi driver was treated and released.
