Chula Vista Motorcycle Accident Kills Man

A deadly San Diego County motorcycle accident occurred last weekend when a motorcycle collided with a car on the road, and the man driving the motorcycle was killed. He has been identified as a 44-year-old Chula Vista resident.

Michael Vankleeck was the rider, who died at the UCSD Medical Center at 2:35 p.m. on July 31, 2009, merely an hour after the crash took place at Nacion Avenue and Montclair Street in Chula Vista, per reports from the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Officer.

Vankleeck had been riding southbound along Nacion Avenue and broadsided the motor vehicle while in an intersection, according to Officer C.J. Burroughs of the Chula Vista Police Department. It is a tragic occurrence and we continue to ask all on the road to exercise cautious and safe behavior while sharing it with everyone else, as lives are easily taken, especially in motorcycle accidents.
