California Highway Patrol Vehicle Involved in San Diego Car Crash

A California Highway Patrol patrol car was involved in an auto accident on San Diego's Interstate 805 on the night of August 4, 2009.

The CHP cruiser was cut off by another driver on the northbound side of the freeway close to Imperial Avenue near to the Lincoln Park area of San Diego. The patrol car then spun out of control and collided with the center divider of the freeway.

The car accident, which happened around 9:35 p.m., closed a lane of the northbound I-805 and the CHP officer suffered only minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
