San Diego County Motorcycle Accident Leaves Rider Injured

On Thursday, May 21, a 37-year-old man was out riding his Yamaha motorcycle in San Pasqual Valley, only to end up hospitalized.

San Diego Police Sgt. Alan Hayward reported that the as-of-yet unidentified motorcyclist lost control of a curve while riding westbound on San Pasqual Valley Road around 11:15 p.m. and went off the roadway in this San Diego area motorcycle injury. After falling off of the roadway, he struck a rock and was separated from him motorcycle. He had been speeding.

The injured motorcycle rider was hospitalized with a broken pelvis and lacerations to his leg. Though the serious injuries were not life-threatening, the situation certainly had potential to become so. With many unpredictable terrain within San Diego County's back country and rocky hills, even the most avid of riders could easily be misguided by sudden or sharp turns, merging lanes, or uncertain roads, causing many injuries and deaths as well. All signs and speed limits posted are required to be followed and will greatly reduce the risk of wreckage or bodily harm.
