Wednesday morning around 10 a.m. at Tierrasanta Boulevard near the intersection with La Cuenta Drive, an 86 year-old woman drove into the lobby of San Diego dental office. A San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson reported that the driver was pulling into a disabled parking spot and could not put her foot on the brake in time. The result was that her Toyota Camry ran over a pole before driving through front glass windows and pushing a 59-year-old waiting patient 20 feet and pinning him against the wall near the reception's desk. Firefighters who arrived on the scene were able to quickly free him and took him to the hospital for further treatment. The man was reportedly at the dentist to be treated for a broken tooth, and instead left with a broken pelvis as well, while the driver did not suffer any injuries. The San Diego area building did not suffer structural damage, but will be closed for two days to repair the results of the car wreck.
