Valley Center Woman Killed in Oceanside Car Accident
On March 22, Leslie Foster of the Valley Center area of San Diego County was killed when her Toyota Rav-4 was clipped by Alberto Allari, an Italian tourist. The car accident happened on Interstate 5 near Camp Pendleton in Oceanside. You can read more about the auto accident in this North County Times story.
Foster and her husband were returning from a concert in Anaheim when the car crash occurred. The impact caused their Rav-4 to skid off the freeway and roll numerous times down the side of the hill. William Foster, her husband, sustained serious injuries as well and was life-flighted in a helicopter to a local hospital.
Meanwhile, Allari was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter. Surprisingly, neither speed nor alcohol were believed to be factors in the auto accident. It appears that Allari simply drifted across the freeway in an unsafe manner before crashing into the Foster car.
Our hearts go out to William Foster. In one moment not only was he seriously injured, but he lost his life partners and best friend. Aside from the loss of a child, there cannot be a worse loss than the death of a husband or wife. As for Mr. Allari, we hope that the San Diego District Attorney investigates this serious Oceanside car accident and, if the evidence warrants, prosecutes Mr. Allari to the fullest extent possible.
